semi precious Gemstone

Moissanite is a rare gem that has almost all of the qualities of a diamond. It was first discovered in 1893, while a scientist was examining meteor samples from a crater in Arizona. Upon first glance, he thought he had found diamonds, but a few years later after some lab testing, they were identified as a new spectacular gem. Upon seeing such a breathtaking gem, people searched far and wide to find more. In the 1950s more samples were found in Russian mines and Wyoming rock formations, but naturally occurring this is a very scarce gemstone. Realizing the potential of this material, scientists determined a way to create it in a laboratory in the 1990s. Since then we now have an amazing stone that’s superior to diamonds that can be made at a fraction of the cost.

Malachite is a stone that should not be used for physical healing. Malachite has been called the “mirror of the soul”. It is variable in its condition. It reaches the inner feelings of the person and reflects what is there, negative or positive. It is so beautiful that one would like to wear it in jewellery, but caution must be used when wearing Malachite. It will always reflect how you feel, if you feel negative don’t wear Malachite. It reminds us that we have a dual nature and it is up to each person to know and rule his own person. To help get rid of nightmares, keep a piece of Malachite in your bedroom.

Semi Precious Gemstone – Aquamarine

From the light blue of the sky to the deep blue of the sea, aquamarines shine over an extraordinarily beautiful range of mainly light blue colours. Aquamarine is a fascinatingly beautiful gemstone. Women the world over love it for its fine blue shades which can complement almost any skin or eye colour and creative gemstone designers are inspired by it as they are by hardly any other gem, which enables them to create new artistic cuts again and again. Its light blue arouses feelings of sympathy, trust, harmony and friendship. Good feelings. Feelings which are based on mutuality and which prove their worth in lasting relationships. The blue of aquamarine is a divine, eternal colour because it is the colour of the sky.
